If you are experiencing issues with passing embedded data to Salesforce from Qualtrics, here are some steps to troubleshoot on your own before contacting Support.
First please make sure that the Salesforce integration is correctly set up in Qualtrics. This includes verifying the connection between Qualtrics and Salesforce and ensuring that the necessary permissions are granted.
In order to refresh the Salesforce account you can click on the Salesforce trigger/task, click “Back” if needed and click on refresh. If it doesn’t help you can also remove the account and add it again.

Secondly, ensure that the embedded data fields are correctly configured in the survey flow. The embedded data fields should be set before the respondent encounters any logic or questions that depend on them.
To ensure your embedded data is transferring correctly to Salesforce (SFDC) from Qualtrics, start by verifying it within Qualtrics itself. Navigate to the Data & Analysis tab of your survey and add a column that displays the embedded data fields you're trying to pass. This will allow you to visually confirm that the data is being captured and stored within Qualtrics.
Key Troubleshooting Steps:
- Spelling and Case Sensitivity: Double-check the spelling and capitalization of your embedded data field names. Even a small typo can prevent the data from being recognized and passed along.
- Re-piping the Field: If you suspect a connection issue, try re-piping the embedded data field within your Qualtrics task. This essentially refreshes the link between the data source and the field, resolving potential glitches.
By systematically checking these points, you can isolate the cause of the problem and ensure your embedded data flows smoothly from Qualtrics to SFDC."
If everything looks correct and you’re still facing issues please file a support ticket including the surveyID, WorkflowID, screenshot from Salesforce with the fields you’re trying to pass.
